Poster for Jeyrani honoring ceremony unveiled

The official poster for honoring ceremony of Fereydoun Jeyrani has been unveiled.

The event for honoring veteran Iranian director is to be held on the sidelines of Fajr Film Festival closing ceremony.

Born in 1951, Jeyrani entered the film industry by writing the screenplay for a movie by Mehdi Sabaghzadeh in 1981 and continued writing until 1987 when he directed his first movie.

He has directed several movies, including ‘Red’, ‘Fire and Water’, ‘The Last Supper’, ‘Pink’, ‘Season Salad’, ‘Zagros’, the trilogy of ‘Stars’, ‘Parkway’, ‘Parya's Story’, and ‘I'm a Mother’.

Jeyrani has been nominated for several awards for movies such as ‘Red’, ‘The Last Supper’ and ‘Pink’.

Besides ‘The Gradual Death of a Dream’, he has made various series, including ‘The Warped Interpretation of a Dream’, which was also aired on ifilm English TV channel.

In addition to directing, Jeyrani is a producer, cinematographer, screenplay writer, television anchor and journalist.
